Now on sale: props from ‘Manhunt’ set in Pittsburgh
A “liquidation” of set decorations and props from the filmed-inPittsburgh TV drama “Manhunt: Lone Wolf” was announced Friday on social media. The Facebook post reads, “Nomadic Trading Company is excited to be holding a multi-day liquidation of a Lionsgate television series.”
The announcement includes images of row upon row of office and home furnishings and decorative pieces, podiums with an FBI seal, and what looks like stand-in statues of people running.
The sale at 31st Street Studios, 77 31st St., in the Strip District, is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The announcement said purchases are to be “cash or 5% Buyers Premium with a credit card, no checks.”
The Post-Gazette’s Rob Owen reported in August that awardwinning actress and Carnegie Mellon graduate Judith Light would star with Pittsburgh actor Cameron Britton in “Manhunt,” the story of Richard Jewell, who was unjustly accused in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics bombing.
“Manhunt: Lone Wolf” is set to premiere in 2020 on Spectrum Originals, which is not available in Western Pennsylvania. Producer Lionsgate could sell the series to other platforms nine months after its exclusivity with Spectrum expires, making it available in Pittsburgh.
Light described the production as “spectacular” and “huge,” speaking with Owen after a press conference for Amazon’s “Transparent” at the Television Critics Association summer 2019 press tour.
