Local Company Buys Your Home Without the Hassles or the Fees

-

Home Buyers of Pittsburgh often works with sellers in challenging situations, typically on a shorter timeline. Yet they also work with sellers throughout the Pittsburgh area who simply want an easier, faster alternative to the traditional home selling process.

The Home Buyers of Pittsburgh team recently helped a woman sell her house in the Pleasant Hills neighborhood that was dealing with a lot of emotional stress.

“We got a call from a woman who had received many post cards from individuals wanting to buy her house [“too many” she said ] but wanted to make sure they were working with a reputable company” said Ryan Scialabba, Owner and Licensed Agent. “It’s pretty typical for people to call in with a lot of questions about who we are and what we do, but that’s what I’m here for – to help direct them through the process.”

When the company receives a call from a homeowner they do an initial qualification of the property and learn more about the situation. They find out where the house is, when it was built, and ask if it needs any repairs or updates. The rest of the call is spent figuring out what the situation is and if they can help.

“We tend to buy the same style of homes in the neighborhoods we know very well.” said Mr. Scialabba “After the call, I set up an appointment for a 20-30-minute home tour to assess any repairs or updates needed to the house.”

As the team walks through the house, they lean on their extensive background in real estate and construction to figure out the cost of renovations needed. Most of the homes they buy need updated kitchens, baths, flooring, paint etc. Other times, the homes need extensive repairs from the roof to the foundation, which usually include French drains and wall anchors.

“This house was well cared for over the years and you could tell it meant a lot to her”. Said Mr. Scialabba “While I was there, I was able to show her the updates we would have to make to be able to sell it to new homeowners and explain how easy the process was to sell her house to us.”

Once the Home Buyers of Pittsburgh team figures out their renovation costs, they can input the numbers into their system and present an offer to the seller on the spot.

“Once we made the numbers a winwin, I let her know we would take the house as-is and close whenever on the date of her choice. As soon as we signed the sales agreement, she was instantly relieved and gave me a big hug!”

In this situation, the seller’s big concerns were that she didn’t want to have to get the house ready for multiple showings, deal with inspections, or the uncertainty of selling the house. She was ready to be done with the house and wanted it to be as straight forward and hassle free as possible.

After closing, Mr. Scialabba said “This was a pretty straight forward transaction that only took us a few weeks to close and was a win-win for the sellers and us. We’re all really happy about this one.”

The Home Buyers of Pittsburgh team takes pride in their commitment to each individual seller and making the home selling process as simple and hassle-free as possible.

Mr. Scialabba finished by saying “We built this company with a focus on customer service first. It’s one of our four core values to have integrity and always do the right thing, so we bring that to every transaction to make sure it’s a winwin. We hope to help as many people as we can sell their house without the hassles or the fees.”
