First heart transplant performed at WVU Medicine

WVU Medicine has performed the first heart transplant in the state as the Morgantown-based academic medical center continues to expand services. In recent weeks, WVU Medicine also received approval from the United Network for Organ Sharing to do kidney transplants, said Michael Shullo, associate vice president of transplant services. The center’s goal is to offer a complete range of medical services.
