Mount Oliver man found dead in his home

The man who drove himself to Pittsburgh police headquarte­rs after a woman was shot multiple times on the Pittsburgh­Penn Hills border was found dead in his home Tuesday.

The Pittsburgh woman, Ladea Terrell, 33, died of her injuries Wednesday.

George Daniel, 58, of Mount Oliver, went to city police headquarte­rs on the North Side following the Dec. 17 shooting on Eastgate Drive, which is located in Penn Hills just over the city border. At the time, Ms. Terrell was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Mr. Daniel was detained for questionin­g but was not arrested, according to Pittsburgh police.

No arrests have been made in the shooting.

Mr. Daniel was pronounced dead in his residence on Sherman Street just after 10 p.m. Tuesday, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner announced Friday in its routine death notificati­ons.

Pittsburgh police confirmed that Mr. Daniel was the man questioned in the Penn Hills shooting.
