Kyrie Irving out at least a week with knee injury
Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving will be reevaluated in a week after suffering a ligament sprain in Saturday night’s loss to the Washington Wizards.
The Nets announced that an MRI Sunday morning on Irving’s right knee confirmed the initial diagnosis of a medial ligament sprain.
Irving left in the fourth quarter after getting tangled with the Wizards’ Bradley Beal and falling back awkwardly on the knee.

Bulls guard Kris Dunn missed his first game of the season. Coach Jim Boylen said Dunn has been diagnosed with a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee. Dunn was injured on the first possession of Friday’s loss at Brooklyn.
Auto racing
The all-electric Formula E motor racing series has abandoned plans for a race in the Chinese city of Sanya next month because of the coronavirus epidemic. The sport will continue to work with its regional partner and local authorities to study the viability of potential alternative dates should the situation improve.

Federica Brignone won a women’s World Cup super-G after overall leader Mikaela Shiffrin sat out the race in Rosa Khutor, Russia, strengthening her runner-up position in the standings. The win left the Italian 270 points short of Shiffrin’s leading tally. The American three-time overall champion decided to skip the races in the 2014 Olympic resort after winning the previous super-G and a downhill in Bulgaria a week ago.
• Alexis Pinturault became the first skier this season to win two men’s World Cup giant slaloms, triumphing on the Kandahar 2 course in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. The Frenchman won the season-opener in October but placed 17th, eighth and 10th respectively in the next three GS events. He was 0.18 seconds off the lead in fourth before posting the third-fastest time in the second run and beat first-run leader Loic Meillard by 0.16.
