The past week: Reynolds scored 22 points to help lead the Colts back from a 17-point deficit to defeat defending WPIAL Class 6A champion Mt. Lebanon in their regular-season finale, 56-51.

Check this out: Reynolds, a 62 junior point guard, is averaging a team-high 17.8 points per game for Chartiers Valley this season. After starting the year 1-2, the Colts went 17-2 in their last 19 regular-season games. How did it feel to help your team pull off that comeback against Mt. Lebanon? It was awesome, especially for the seniors. That was their last home game, so that was awesome.

Is that the biggest comeback you’ve been a part of? Yeah, that’s my biggest comeback in high school so far.

Is there any pressure for the boys basketball team at Chartiers Valley to keep up with the girls’ team as they shoot for the all-time WPIAL wins record and back-to-back titles? We joke around about that stuff, but we kind of want to live up to the hype they’re living up to. I think it would be kind of cool if we both won a WPIAL title this year. That would be special. I don’t think there’s a lot of pressure. We just joke around about it and it’s all fun and games.

Who’s your favorite player in the NBA right now? Trae Young. I look up to Trae Young a lot. I watch a lot of videos on him and try to turn my game into his.

So are the Hawks your favorite team, or do you have a different team you root for? It’s funny, because I love Portland. Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum, I love that backcourt. I love watching those two play together.

Do you think Lillard is the best point guard in the NBA? In my personal opinion, I think he is right now. I just don’t see how you couldn’t say that with the way he’s playing and putting his team back in the playoff race. I do believe that he’s the best. Who do you think has the deepest range for shooting 3pointers — Lillard, Young or Steph Curry? I think Trae Young has the best range. He does it consistently. It’s fun to watch.

What’s your favorite song to listen to before a big game? I don’t have a go-to, but today the song I listened to before the game was ‘Woah’ by Lil Baby. Based on that 17-point comeback, maybe you should make that a pregame ritual now? [Laughs] Maybe we’ve got to listen to it with the whole team this time.
