Already without Simmons, 76ers lose Embiid, too

Philadelph­ia 76ers AllStar center Joel Embiid left Wednesday night’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first quarter and was ruled out with a left shoulder sprain.

Philadelph­ia also is playing without All-Star guard Ben Simmons, who missed his second game in a row because of a nerve impingemen­t in his lower back.

Maria Sharapova is retiring from profession­al tennis at the age of 32 after five Grand Slam titles and time ranked No. 1. Sharapova played only two matches this season and lost both.
