Flathead catfish hunter claims a 43-pound trophy

Big catfish like the clean, cool water of the Allegheny River. Many of the anglers who target giant flatheads have begun switching from dam tailraces and the Ohio River’s curves in Beaver County to the city lights of Downtown. While night fishing in Pittsburgh, Joe Granata of Monaca caught and released a 43-pound, 9-ounce flathead.
