SUNDAY 9 p.m. on WPCW Taskmaster

This international Emmy Award-nominated — but decidedly unconventional — game show is a British import starring U.K. actor and comic Greg Davies as the titular all-powerful Taskmaster who doles out simple but bizarre tasks for five contestants, generally some of his comedy colleagues. Those tasks usually are performed solo, but occasionally in teams. While simple, these chores are designed to encourage the players to think “laterally” and creatively.

MONDAY 11 p.m. on TRAV Into the Unknown

The new episode “The Legend of Mount Shasta” examines the dormant volcano in California that has a supernatural reputation and is considered sacred by Native Americans and New Age spiritualists alike. Over the years, dozens of people have vanished without a trace from its slopes — but now, host and adventurer Cliff Simon goes searching for both scientific and paranormal answers, armed with some of the latest in high-tech gear.

TUESDAY 9 p.m. on A&E What’s It Worth?

Produced remotely, this homespun new variation on shows like “Antiques Roadshow” finds host and comic Jeff Foxworthy — a collector himself — with a team of experts connecting with everyday people from across the country to examine an assortment of their heirlooms, trinkets and personal treasures. They assess whether these guests may be sitting on a gold mine or just holding on to items for their sentimental value.

WEDNESDAY 9 p.m. on WPCW Coroner

This Canadian import, adapted from a book series by M.R. Hall, stars Serinda Swan as Toronto coroner Dr. Jenny Cooper. Recently widowed, Jenny has a teenage son, Ross (Ehren Kassam), who is still mourning his late father. On the job, Jenny works with homicide detective Donovan McAvoy (Roger Cross); Dr. Dwayne Allen (Lovell Adams-Gray), a pathologist; and his assistant, River Baitz (Kiley May).

THURSDAY 9 p.m. on A&E The First 48

A new true-crime episode called “Point of No Return” opens in Mobile, Ala., where two friends are found fatally shot in a car parked on a dark dead-end street in the Southern city. As police detectives arrive, the murder scene strongly suggests the twin killings weren’t part of a robbery, but rather execution-style murders. As they sift through clues, the evidence seems to be pointing the police to an unlikely suspect.

FRIDAY 9 p.m. on TRAV The Dead Files

In the new episode “Preying on the Weak,,” former homicide detective Steve DiSchiavi and medium Amy Allan travel to a family home in North Beach, Md., where Amy confronts a malevolent entity that seems to focus on torturing children. Later, they hit the road to Canton, Ill., where a young boy’s paranormal encounters reveal a dangerous power that seems to be building.

SATURDAY 7 p.m. on OXYGEN License to Kill

Plastic surgeon Terry Dubrow (“Botched”) returns as host of this true-crime series, which opens a 12-episode sophomore season with stories of crimes committed by medical professionals. Dubrow uses his medical expertise to go into the mind of each killer while investigating why they committed their crimes and how authorities stopped them. Cases include a surgeon who performed invasive surgeries in unsanitary conditions and a doctor who over-prescribed opioids to college students.
