Two key stars out for Sunday

Will it be the Chase Claypool Show again this week, or perhaps the Ray-Ray McCloud Show? Either way, the Steelers will need all of their receivers to step up again Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. Diontae Johnson, who still leads the team in targets despite leaving the past two games early with injuries, and right guard David DeCastro have been ruled out for Week 6. Johnson, who took a hit to the back on a punt return last Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, missed practice Wednesday, returned in limited fashion Thursday, but was out again Friday. DeCastro, who exited the Eagles game with an abdominal injury, didn’t participate all week.

Those two are the only Steelers missing their first AFC North Division matchup for health reasons. All other players were full practice participants Friday, and rookie Kevin Dotson will again start in DeCastro’s place.

Meanwhile, in Cleveland, there’s a spate of injuries to sift through. Starting with quarterback Baker Mayfield, who’s listed as questionable with a chest injury, the Browns have 10 players on their week-ending practice report. Six are questionable and four have been ruled out.

On offense, star receivers Odell Beckham Jr. (illness) and Jarvis Landry (hip/ribs) are questionable. Beckham missed the past two days of practice, though his COVID-19 test reportedly was negative. Mayfield was limited all week in practice, whereas Landry was out the first two days but returned Friday.
