Giants WR Board suffers scary injury
Giants coach Joe Judge said receiver C. J. Board has movement in his limbs after suffering a concussion and neck injury in the team’s 2019 win over Washington.
Board was carted off the field and taken to a hospital after he was hit by safety Deshazor Everett while trying to catch a low pass on a crossing pattern in the third quarter of New York’s 20- 19 win.
Eagles
Philadelphia went into the game against Baltimore missing seven offensive starters, and then lost two more when running back Miles Sanders ( knee) left in the third quarter and tight end Zach Ertz ( ankle) exited in the fourth.
Vikings
Minnesota cornerback Mike Hughes ( neck) left in the second quarter against Atlanta with the injury that kept him out of two recent games, leaving the Vikings with only three available players at cornerback: rookie starters Jeff Gladney and Cameron Dantzler and backup Harrison Hand.
Jaguars
Jacksonville was hammered by the Detroit Lions and injuries. The Jaguars lost linebacker Myles Jack ( ankle), tight end Tyler Eifert ( neck), offensive lineman A. J. Cann ( shoulder) and safety Jarrod Wilson ( hamstring) to injury during the game.
Titans
Tennessee lost two key offensive starters in their thrilling overtime win over the Houston Texans. Left tack
Taylor Lewan left the game with what could be a serious knee injury and tight end Jonnu Smith was sidelined with an ankle injury.
Dolphins
The Miami crowd rose to its feet making more noise than it had at any point during a 24- 0 victory over the New York Jets as rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa jogged onto the field for his first NFL action. Nearly a year since Tagovailoa suffered a scary potentially careerending hip injury at Alabama on Nov. 16, 2019, it was Tua Time. With a little over two minutes left, Tagovailoa threw his first two NFL passes, both completions. After the game, Tagovailoa returned to the field, sitting down at the middle of the 15yard line alone in full uniform for about 10 minutes soaking in the moment.
