Complete coverage of the night of high school basketball.

It’s been a while since Albert Gallatin made an appearance in the WPIAL playoffs.

It’s been even longer since the Colonials actually won a tournament game.

That drought has come to an end as Albert Gallatin (146), behind 25 points from Bryn Bezjak and 10 by Olivia Miller, ended the school’s long dry spell with a 57-44 win over Greensburg Salem.

Albert Gallatin had not played a WPIAL tournament contest since a 60-32 Class 4A preliminary round loss to Franklin Regional at Penn-Trafford on Feb. 15, 2013, back when Quad A was the highest classification.

The Colonials most recent postseason victory came on Feb. 18, 2003, in a 40-39 Class 4A first round win over Mt. Lebanon.

Greensburg Salem was led by a game-high 31 from Abby Mankins.
