“Promising Young Woman”: Carey Mulligan gives a memorable performanc­e in this daring rape-revenge fantasy, the directoria­l debut from Emerald Fennell, an English actress and showrunner on the second season of “Killing Eve.”

“Brothers by Blood”: Set in the City of Brotherly Love, this crime drama depicts the violent world of Philadelph­ia organized crime. Stars Matthias Schoenaert­s, Joel Kinnaman and Maika Monroe.

“Des”: David Tennant portrays Scottish serial killer Dennis Nilsen, arrested in 1983, in this three-part TV miniseries.

“Don’t Tell a Soul”: Fionn Whitehead and Jack Dylan Grazer are teen brothers who steal money to help their ill mother, played by Mena Suvari, while engaging with Rainn Wilson’s security guard character.

“Money Plane”: This heist thriller finds a debt-ridden thief needing to do one final job, complete with a team of the world’s most dangerous criminals. Stars Adam Copeland, Kelsey Grammer and Thomas Jane.

Justin Bieber, “Justice”: Sixth studio album from the pop superstar features “Holy” (with Chance The Rapper), “Lonely” (with Benny Blanco) and “Anyone,” three smash hits that have garnered over 2 billion streams worldwide.

Lana Del Rey, “Chemtrails Over the Country Club”: The seventh album from the indiepop singer-songwriter, co-produced by Jack Antonoff (Bleachers), features the single “Let Me Love You like a Woman” and a cover of Joni Mitchell’s “For Free,” with Zella Day and Weyes Blood.

Sting, “Duets”: Collection of previous duets with the likes of Eric Clapton, Mary J. Blige, Julio Iglesias, Shaggy, Herbie Hancock, Annie Lennox and Charles Aznavour.

Loretta Lynn, “Still Woman Enough”: The country icon’s 50th studio album is 13-song collection that celebrates women in country music and includes a mix of new songs and remakes of older ones. Margo Price, Tanya Tucker, Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood are on the guest list.

Middle Kids, “Today We’re The Greatest”: Second album from the Sydney-based rock trio follows its 2018 debut album “Lost Friends.” It was in Los Angeles with producer Lars Stalfors (St. Vincent, Soccer Mommy, Purity Ring).

WHAT’S ON TV

NCAA Basketball Tournament (5 p.m. Thursday): March Madness gets underway

with truTV and TBS airing both games in the First Four, contested between teams holding the four lowest seeded automatic bids and the four lowest seeded at-large bids.

“Keeping Up With the Kardashian­s” (8 p.m. Thursday, E!): One of the most polarizing reality shows in recent TV history returns for its 20th and final season as “Keeping Up With the Kardashian­s” hits the airwaves again.

“Overserved With Lisa Vanderpump” (9 p.m. Thursday, E!): In each half-hour episode of this new reality series, host Lisa Vanderpump welcomes two to three celebrity guests to her extravagan­t garden at Villa Rosa for an outdoor evening of surprises and candid conversati­on. Scheduled to make appearance­s this season are Anna Camp, Cheryl Hines, Iggy Azalea, Jaleel White, Gabriel Iglesias, Joel McHale, Jim Jeffries and Margaret Cho.

“The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” (Friday, Disney+): Anthony Mackie (The Falcon) and Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier), who came together in the final moments of “Avengers: Endgame,” team up on a global adventure in this Marvel film.

“Country Comfort” (Friday, Netflix): Singer, actress and “American Idol” finalist Katharine McPhee stars in the new series

about an aspiring country singer who takes a job as a nanny for a rugged cowboy (Eddie Cibrian) and his five children.

“Sky Rojo” (Friday, Netflix): From the creators of Money Heist comes this new action series, complete with dark humor, about three women on the run from the henchmen of Romeo, pimp and owner of Club Las Novias.

“Great Performanc­es at the Met” (9 p.m. Friday, WQED): Superstar soprano Renee Fleming opens Season 15 of this classical music series. From the cozy music salon of Dumbarton Oaks in Washington, D.C., Fleming performs arias by Puccini and Massenet, along with selections by Handel and Erich Wolfgang Korngold.

“Everything But the House” (9 p.m. Friday, HGTV): In this new home improvemen­t series, which premieres with two back-to-back episodes, “Good Morning America” host Lara Spencer delivers a double value to viewers by showing homeowners how to clear out their overstuffe­d homes and then cash in on the discarded clutter.

“Sydney to the Max” (11:25 p.m. Friday, DIS): The hit sitcom opens Season 3, which sees Syd (Ruth Righi) returning home from music camp, overflowin­g with newfound maturity and a sense of independen­ce.

“V.C. Andrews’ Ruby” (8 p.m. Saturday, LIFE): Having scored big ratings with its 2019 movie adaptation­s of V.C. Andrews’ Casteel Family novels, Lifetime returns to the same well for another movie series, adapted from Andrews’ Landry Family books.

“Drama Club” (8:30 p.m. Saturday, Nickelodeo­n): Kid-friendly mockumenta­ry-style comedy series is about the inner workings of a middle-school drama club starving for some respect. In the opener, an enthusiast­ic new student director takes over, but disaster looms as the club’s choreograp­her suffers an injury.

“Q: Into the Storm” (9 p.m. Sunday, HBO): This new six-part docuseries traces a three-year global investigat­ion into the QAnon movement, a probe that ultimately seeks to unmask the shadowy mastermind known as “Q.”

“Genius: Aretha” (9 p.m. Sunday, NATGEO): Cynthia Erivo (“The Color Purple” musical) slips into the skin of Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin in Season 3 of this dramatic anthology series. Courtney B. Vance, Malcolm Barrett, David Cross and Steven Norfleet costar, with newcomer Shaian Jordan as young Aretha, aka Little Re.
