Company that supplies oil and gas parts expands into region

A Houston-based company that provides supplies to oil, gas and industrial operators through an online platform has chosen the Pittsburgh region to open its first warehouse and distribution center in the Northeast.

GoExpedi is leasing 15,000 square feet of space at 110 Crown Court in North Fayette near Imperial.

The warehouse, which opened Tuesday, will be staffed by up to 10 employees, although the company could add more in the future, CEO Tim Neal said Wednesday.

“We’re committed to the market,” he said. “I can see us getting bigger over time.”

GoExpedi, which describes itself as a supply chain, e-commerce and analytics company, selected Pittsburgh as its first Northeast hub because it’s close to Marcellus shale and oil and gas operations locally and in Ohio and West Virginia, Mr. Neal said.

“It’s just kind of a really good fit,” he said. “It was a perfect location for us to serve a broad set of customers.”

The Pittsburgh center is the first of several locations GoExpedi plans to open nationally in the months ahead as it seeks to expand its footprint and accelerate its growth.

Founded in 2017, the company offers more than 200,000 parts and supplies for maintenance, repair and operations through its e-commerce platform.

The new Pittsburgh warehouse, it stated, will “help meet the increasing demand for the delivery of essential parts and supplies in the Northeast for national upstream, midstream and downstream clients.”

It is the sixth warehouse GoExpedi has opened since 2017. Others are based in Texas, Wyoming and California.

Moving into the Northeast is a “monumental step,” Mr. Neal said, adding the company’s expansion efforts have just begun. Despite the pandemic, GoExpedi’s business tripled last year, he noted.

“We’re seeing explosive growth in the market. We’re an aggressive, hungry business. This is not an end point. This is the beginning,” he vowed.
