Ditch the Dorm – Live in Luxury!

-

Dorm life freshman year was so much fun. Meeting new people, making friends, hanging out all the time. But as you get older – and your classes get harder and more specialized – it’s time for a little space of your own. And you might as well make it a luxurious space! Here are six of our favorite apartments when you’re ready to ditch the dorm:

University Village at Slippery Rock

University Village at Slippery Rock offers top-notch apartments, with amenities to match. Think a heated, resort-style pool and 24/7 clubhouse! All student apartments come fully furnished, including a 42″ TV in the living room. They also have the largest kitchens in all of Slippery Rock, so if you’re a foodie…you know where you should move!

Baumhaus

Baumhaus on Baum Boulevard has everything you could possibly want from an apartment, starting with convenience, comfort, and community. They’re currently hosting both in-person and virtual events, so you can meet people however you’re most comfortable. Their rooftop terrace and fire pit are about to be the only place you’ll want to hangout as it gets nicer.

Union on 5th

Calling all of our Duquesne students: Union on 5th is for you! Just steps from campus, across from PPG Paints Arena, (minutes from Oakland with an easy commute to either Pitt or Carnegie Melon) you’ll find your new home. Their loft-style apartments mean each experience is unique. Floor plans range from 2 bed-1 bath, 2 bed-2 bath, and even 3 bed-3 bath apartments.

Mozart Management

Mozart Management is a family-owned business that’s been providing apartments around Pittsburgh for more than 50 years. They are “your neighborhood expert for apartments in the East End” including Shadyside, North Oakland, Squirrel Hill, Highland Park, and Frick Park. Their office is open seven days a week, plus they have 24/7 maintenance, online payments, and they don’t collect security deposits.

Cort Furniture Rentals Coda on Centre

If you’re ready for a close-knit community while still getting that city vibe, check out Coda on Centre. You’ll be in the heart of the East End – close to shopping, restaurants, nightlife, and more. But you’re also steps away from Shadyside, East Liberty, Friendship, and Bloomfield. Need to go a little farther? Catch a bus… there are six Port Authority stops within easy walking distance, and the East busway is steps away.

Oak Hill Apartments

Oak Hill Apartments are a short walk away from University of Pittsburgh, the Pitt Athletic Complex, The Petersen Events Center, Trees Hall, UPMC Presbyterian, UPMC Magee-Women’s Hospital, and Carlow University. They offer free parking, plus a new state of the art fitness center and lounge. Some apartment homes are available with utilities included.

Moving into an unfurnished apartment? Furniture is expensive, plus you have to deal with moving it. So why not let Cort handle that for you? When you rent furniture from Cort, they’ll take care of bringing your furniture and setting it up, so all you have to do is enjoy your new home. Student packages start at $99/month, and their team will design three rooms of cohesive furniture for you.
