Moon, Peters Township will finish Saturday

-

Moon held a 14-13 lead at halftime of its game against Peters Township.

The Tigers are still clinging to that same advantage.

With lightning in the area Friday night, the Tigers and Indians had to postpone and will pick up the action Saturday morning at 9:30.

A failed extra point for Peters Township is the difference so far as Class 5A No. 1 Moon is attempting to keep its perfect record intact by outlasting the fourth-ranked Indians, 14-13, in the Allegheny Six Conference.

Taite Beachy caught a 38yard scoring strike from Tyler McGowan and Ben Bladel scooped up a blocked punt for another score for Moon (70, 2-0).

For the Indians (4-3, 0-2), Jacob Macosko hauled in a 55- yard pass from Sam Miller for a score, but the kick on the extra-point attempt failed.
