Dukes fall in overtime after Colorado rallies

Colorado’s Tristan da Silva hit a 3-pointer with three seconds left in regulation to force overtime, and the Buffaloes (4-1) went on to outscore Duquesne, 16-8, in the extra session to pull away for an 84-76 win in the second round of the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.

Duquesne (1-4), which never trailed in regulation, was led by Kevin Easley Jr. with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Tre Williams added 17 points and a career-high seven blocks and Leon Ayers III had 15 off the bench for the Dukes who dropped their fourth in a row.

Colorado, which went 2-of15 from the 3-point arc in regulation, hit a pair of 3-pointers in overtime to pull away.

Grove City 89, Lancaster Bible 83: Led by a career-high 26 points from junior guard Joshua McCray, Grove City (22) pulled out a win against Lancaster Bible at Geneva College’s Coaches vs. Cancer Classic in Beaver Falls.

Pitt 69, Duquesne 64: Jayla Everett scored 18 points and Amber Brown added 14 each as visiting Pitt ( 4- 0) pulled away from Duquesne (1-4) in the fourth quarter for the victory in the City Game. Duquesne was led by Fatou Pouye with 17 points and Megan McConnell with 14.

Oakland 65, Robert Morris 60: Robert Morris (1-3, 1-1 Horizon) dropped a matchup against the host Golden Grizzlies (2-2, 1-1). Robert Morris outscored Oakland, 44-16, in the paint.

Slippery Rock 69, Malone 59: Powered by a 24-point, 21-rebound showing from Jamiyah Johnson, Slippery Rock (3-1) earned a win at Malone (3-1). Johnson tallied her fourth-consecutiv­e doubledoub­le on 24 points and 21 rebounds.
