Ullmark, Forbot, Bruins topple Flyers for third consecutive victory

Derek Forbort had two goals to lead the Boston Bruins to their third consecutive victory, 5-2 over the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday night in Philadelphia.

Tomas Nosek, Craig Smith and David Pastrnak also scored for the Bruins, who hadn’t played since Sunday’s 5-2 victory over Montreal.

Philadelphia lost consecutive games for the first time this season, having won the previous six times following a defeat.

Linus Ullmark made 29 saves for the Bruins, who tied their season high with 44 shots.

Montreal broke out for a fourgoal second period and held on for a win over Nashville despite a third-period hat trick from Matt Duchene.

Coyotes 2, Red Wings 1: Clayton Keller scored just seconds into overtime to give Arizona the home win. Ryan Dzingel scored his second goal in as many games for Arizona, and Scott Wedgewood had 33 saves.

Colorado signed coach Jared Bednar late Friday night to a twoyear extension that runs through the 2023-24 season, the team said. Bednar is coming off a 2020-21 season in which he guided the Avalanche to the Presidents’ Trophy for the league’s top mark and their fourth straight postseason appearance.
