HomeBuyers of Pittsburgh: A Company Built on Principles, Values, and Treating People the Right Way

- Www.homebuyersofpittsburgh.com, info@urbanpgh.com

Don’t second guess yourself. You read that title correctly. I fear we may live in a world where principles and values appear to have been reduced to unfulfilled promises that sound good to investors when they read them on company signage or email blasts. And a world where treating people the right way is considered a relic of a generation gone by. However, there is at least one company out there that believes these ideals are more than slogans. A company that laid these beliefs as part of its foundation years ago and still practices their core values in everything that they do today. It might be safe to say that when Ryan Scialabba and Aaron Archibald founded HomeBuyers of Pittsburgh, they may have just broken the mold.

And from their very first home purchase, when it was just the two of them burning the candle at both ends, they made it a point to simplify the home selling process and make a positive impact on the lives of their customers. “We set out to change communities one house at a time. And we did that by staying humble, working hard, and treating people how we wanted to be treated,” says Scialabba.

I wondered, though, that even though doing business the same way that they lived their lives was simple, surely there had to be a bigger reason for HomeBuyers of Pittsburgh to choose to buck the greedy, predatory practices so often found in the real estate market.

But it was evident from HomeBuyers of Pittsburgh’s inception that its vision was about something other than money. “It’s about honor and legacy,” Scialabba informs me. “And we honor the people we work for and with by showing up every day with a smile on our faces and a desire to do things better today than we did them yesterday. It’s all about helping people.”

When thinking about it in that light, it becomes clear that what the team here at HomeBuyers of Pittsburgh have built is something that is at once inspiring and absolutely essential.

Their mission is all about helping good people that have fallen on tough times. They specialize in it. Everyday they receive calls from people looking to sell their homes but also have some sort of situational or emotional stress along with it. Their ability to listen and come up with creative win-win solutions is what has helped mark the company’s path as it experienced tremendous growth in a relatively short time frame.

“As for legacy,” Scialabba goes on, “it’s about creating a business that can continue to help people, in our community, and on our team live better lives long after we’re gone. We’ve simplified the home selling process, have become experts in many different financial and emotionally stressful situations, and we help people move on in their lives every single day.”

HomeBuyers of Pittsburgh is a testament to the idea that what is truly good never fades away or loses its vigor. And if you ask around to anyone that’s done business with them or is a member of their amazing staff, they’ll all tell you that HomeBuyers of Pittsburgh and its way of doing things will stand the test of time too. - Bradley Love, The Love Creative
