“1883: A Yellowston­e Origin Story”: The forebearer­s of Kevin Costner’s John Dutton pull up stakes and head west in this Paramount+ drama from Taylor Sheridan that features Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.

“The Phantom of the Open”: In this sports film based on a true story, Mark Rylance portrays Maurice Flitcroft, who golfed the worst round in the history of the British Open at the 1976 edition of the tournament.

“61st Street: Season 1”: AMC crime drama starring Courtney B. Vance as a veteran public defender who takes the case of a collegebou­nd Black teen being sought by Chicago police after he gets caught up in a drug sting and an officer dies while pursuing him.

“American Carnage”: After a governor issues an executive order to arrest the children of undocument­ed immigrants, those detained are offered an opportunit­y to have their charges dropped by volunteeri­ng to care for seniors, only to find there are some twisted surprises in store for them in this horror-comedy.

“The Gravedigge­r”: In this horror-thriller set in 1700s Bavaria, a lonely gravedigge­r’s past comes back to haunt him after he finds Frankenste­in’s monster hiding in the graveyard.

Megadeth, “The Sick, the Dying … and the Dead!”: First album in six years from the thrash metal pioneers is the first with new drummer Dirk Verbeuren and features a guest spot by Ice-T on “Night Stalkers.”

Yungblud, “Yungblud”: The British rocker’s third album was preceded by the single “The Funeral,” which featured a video with Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.

“Love in the Villa” (Thursday, Netflix): An American tourist (“Vampire Diaries‘” Kat Graham) finds romance in fair Verona, where we lay our scene, in this new TV movie.

“Pantheon” (Thursday, AMC+): A teen discovers her deceased dad was uploaded to “the cloud” in this new animated sci-fi drama.

“The Secrets She Keeps” (Thursday, Sundance Now): The imported mystery drama starring “Downton Abbey’s” Laura Carmichael returns for Season 2.

“Who Invited Them” (Thursday, Shudder): They don’t need no stinking invitation­s to your housewarmi­ng party in this 2022 thriller.

“The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” (Prime Video, Thursday, 9 p.m.): Everybody’s Tolkien at me in this new fantasy series set in an age long before the

events of “The Hobbit.”
