Henry Davis, C, Double-A Altoona: In Davis’ first game back with Altoona this week, he went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles. In his second game, he went 0-for-2 but walked three times. There will likely be an acclimation process here, but those are some early encouraging signs. More to come.

2

Termarr Johnson, 2B/SS, Low-A Bradenton: Johnson’s on a threegame hitting streak, which is nice, albeit in a tiny sample size. On Wednesday, he went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles and a walk, and on Saturday, he went 2-for-3 with another double and two more walks. His stock might go through the roof if he finishes this season especially strong as an 18-year-old.

3

Quinn Priester, RHP, Double-A Altoona: Not a great couple of recent outings, as Priester allowed five earned in 51⁄ innings last week, then

3

made it through just three frames last Sunday, though he did strike out six in that time. Still, Priester has a 2.45 ERA at Altoona in 58 ⅔ innings. The Pirates will take that.

4

Liover Peguero, SS, Double-A Altoona: Offensive numbers keep dropping. Peguero is down to .255 with a .674 OPS after starting the season hitting over .300 in both April and May. Just a tough couple of months with September left to turn things around.

5

Nick Gonzales, 2B, Double-A Altoona: Had a smidge of a rough few games early this week, but turned it around with a pair of three-hit games Tuesday and Thursday. That came with three doubles and five RBIs to bring Gonzales’ slash line to .261/.379/.403 in 58 games at Double-A.

6

Endy Rodriguez, C/OF/IF, Double-A Altoona: What more can be said here? Rodriguez finally had a couple of hitless games at Altoona this week, but on Thursday he went 2-for-3 with a pair of homers. Across both Double-A and High-A this season he has a .991 OPS with 23 homers.

7

Bubba Chandler, RHP/SS, Low-A Bradenton: Finally found some momentum at the plate, going yard Sunday for his first homer in affiliated ball. Still hitting just .184 at that level, so more progress will be needed. Oh, yeah, he also won pitcher of the week in his league and has a 2.17 ERA in 371⁄ innings.

8

Mike Burrows, RHP, Triple-A Indianapolis: Tossed two shutout innings Sunday before leaving the game. Now we know why, as Burrows hit the injured list with a left knee issue. Always a shame to see that, but especially so considering Burrows had dropped his ERA by more than a point at Triple-A in his last three starts and seemed to be figuring some things out.

9

Anthony Solometo, LHP, Low-A Bradenton: Solometo looks quite good still. His ERA dropped below 3.00 with 41⁄ one-run innings

3

Wednesday. Opponents at Low-A are hitting just .199 against him.

10

Thomas Harrington, RHP, Unassigned: The 36th overall selection in the 2022 draft made it into the Pirates’ top 10 upon Pipeline’s re-ranking. Hasn’t debuted yet, which isn’t a huge surprise. We’ll see whether the Pirates give him some time in Low-A before the season ends.
