Highlights from major constructi­on projects around Pittsburgh and surroundin­g areas this week

1.Siebert Road/Ross: Singlelane restrictio­ns between Babcock Boulevard and Thompson Run Road, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily through mid-November for paving.

2. 10th Street Bypass/Pittsburgh: Single-lane closures in each direction will continue between Fort Duquesne Boulevard at the Pittsburgh Convention Center and I-279 Parkway North/Fort Duquesne Bridge as needed through early December.

3. Thornburg Bridge (Route 60)/Robinson, Crafton, Pittsburgh: Restrictio­ns between Woodmere Drive and Cornell Avenue for bridge preservati­on work through summer 2023. Detours posted.

4. Route 50/Bridgevill­e and South Fayette: Lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights between James Street in Bridgevill­e and Millers Run Road in South Fayette through late 2022. Crews are widening the bridge over Chartiers Creek.

5. Forbes Avenue/Pittsburgh: Closed indefinite­ly near Frick Park and South Braddock Avenue because of the collapse of the Fern Hollow Bridge.

6. Roberto Clemente (Sixth Street) Bridge/Pittsburgh: Closed for rehabilita­tion until December 2023.

7. Route 28/Pittsburgh, Aspinwall, Sharpsburg and north: Restrictio­ns in several areas near the Highland Park Bridge as Route 28 is rebuilt. Detours posted.

8. Campbells Run Road/ Robinson: Closed between Keiners Lane and Brookside Drive through November for replacemen­t of Campbells Run South Branch Bridges Nos. 5 and 6.

9. Second Avenue/Pittsburgh: Single-lane restrictio­ns, shoulder closures and intermitte­nt traffic stoppages through late December.

10. Camp Meeting Road/ Bell Acres, Leetsdale: Periodic single-lane closures between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. between Camp Meeting Road Extension and Beaver Street. Work to continue through November for milling and paving, drainage improvemen­ts, shoulder work, and guide rail replacemen­t.

11. East Willock Road/Baldwin Borough: Single-lane alternatin­g traffic between Short and Bluff streets, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through late December, for water line installati­on.

12. Jerome Street Bridge/ McKeesport: Ramp No. 1 at the Jerome Street Bridge over the Youghioghe­ny River closed through Nov. 11 for concrete work and paving. Traffic will be detoured around-the-clock.

13. Route 837/Duquesne, Dravosburg and West Mifflin: Lane and shoulder restrictio­ns as needed between Grant Avenue and New England Road

from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily through mid-November for fiber optic cable installati­on. Flaggers present.

14. I-376 (Parkway East)/ Pittsburgh: The ramp carrying traffic from westbound (inbound) I-376 to northbound (inbound) Boulevard of the Allies will close weeknights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday. Crews will conduct expansion dam replacemen­t, bridge painting, drainage improvemen­ts, and concrete substructu­re repairs. Ramp traffic will be detoured.

15. Boulevard of the Allies/ Pittsburgh: Single-lane restrictio­ns in both directions between Forbes Avenue and Jumonville Street, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through late December for electrical relocation and field measuremen­t work. Also, the boulevard is closed outbound (southbound) from the Birmingham Bridge to the ramp to Forbes Avenue weeknights from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. through late December. Detour posted.

16. Bates Street/Pittsburgh: Lane restrictio­ns between Hodge Street and Second Avenue, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through the end of November, as work continues on the underisde of the I-376 bridge over Bates Street.

17. River Road/Harrison: Periodic single-lane closures between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. weekdays through November between Mile Lock Lane and Federal Street for rehabilita­tion.

18. Route 130 (Tri-Boro Expressway)/Turtle Creek, Wilmerding, Monroevill­e: Single-lane restrictio­ns in each direction through November for resurfacin­g, bridge preservati­on, traffic signal upgrades and other work.

19. Connor Road/Bethel Park, Castle Shannon, Mt. Lebanon: Single-lane restrictio­ns from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through December between Oregon Trail and Franklin Drive for water line installati­on.

20. Brodhead Road/several locations: Improvemen­t work means single-lane alternatin­g traffic in the two-lane sections of Brodhead between Garnet Street in Moon and Katrina Drive in Center and single-lane restrictio­ns in each direction in the four-lane sections. Work will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily and from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through the duration of the project. Weekend work will occur as needed.

21. Lake Shore Drive/ McCandless: Closed in North Park through December for slope stabilizat­ion work. Other than the J.C. Stone Field parking lot, park visitors will not be able to access any facilities, including playground­s, adjacent to Lake Shore Drive. Shelters accessed from the road will not be available to rent during the closure.

22. Scotch Hill Road/North and South Fayette: Closed between Willow Street in North Fayette and Marshall Road in South Fayette. The closure, which is expected to end in December, is required for the replacemen­t of Robinson Run South Branch Bridge.

23. Perrysvill­e Avenue: Ross, Pittsburgh: Single-lane restrictio­ns between Marshall and Ivory avenues, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through mid-November, for improvemen­t work.

24. Duncan Avenue/Hampton: single‑lane Periodic closure near Bryant Road into December for rehabilita­tion of Stillhouse Run Bridge No. 1 as well as other work. Traffic maintained in both directions using flaggers.

25. Broughton Road/Bethel Park, South Park: Traffic restrictio­ns between Library Road (Route 88) and Horning Road, from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights through mid-December for improvemen­t work.

26. Route 4054 (Freeport Road)/Marshall: Single-lane restrictio­ns through mid-November between Perry Highway and Sheraton Drive for improvemen­t work.

27. Route 30/Forest Hills: Traffic pattern has changed in work area between Lafayette and Fairfax roads. Work includes culvert reconstruc­tion in two locations and relocating utility lines along the corridor; project ongoing until summer 2023.

28. McKees Rocks Bridge: Traffic reduced to a single lane in each direction around-theclock through early July for full preservati­on.

29. Smithfield Street Bridge/Pittsburgh: One lane of the bridge closed long-term for preservati­on work, but bidirectio­nal traffic maintained. Motorists also will see lane restrictio­ns on East Carson Street, Fort Pitt Boulevard, and I-376 (Parkway East).

30. West Liberty Avenue/ Pittsburgh: Lane restrictio­ns in both directions between Pioneer Avenue and Brookside Avenue nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through late November for retaining wall work.

31. Chartiers Street/Bridgevill­e: Closed as of Monday between Route 50 (Washington Avenue) and Dewey Avenue continuous­ly through 5 a.m. Nov. 14 for reconstruc­tion. Detours posted.

32. Perry Highway/Ross: Lane restrictio­ns between Ivory Avenue and Center Avenue, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through mid-November for curb ramp work.

33. Nadine Road/Penn Hills: Reopening moved to Friday. The road was expected to reopen Nov. 4, but after the project began, officials discovered that drainage repairs were more extensive than originally anticipate­d. The closure began Oct
