Unclaimed $1.65M winning lottery ticket sold in Western Pa. may expire
A would-be Western Pennsylvania millionaire is at risk of losing out on their winnings. The Pennsylvania Lottery on Tuesday reported that a winning Cash 5 ticket sold in Westmoreland County last year has still not been claimed, and time is running out for its owner to claim the $1.65 million prize.
The unclaimed winning ticket was sold Dec. 16, 2021, at Jak Petroleum Company at 2232 River Road in Vandergrift. The ticket matched all five balls drawn: 8, 12, 18, 31, 35.
The winner must claim the prize through the Pennsylvania Lottery by the end of the business day Dec. 16, 2022, in order to be awarded the jackpot. Unclaimed, expired lottery prizes will remain in the Lottery Fund used to support programs supporting older Pennsylvanians.
