The state already has enough drop boxes

-

I read with amusement the letter printed by Deborah Stackrow from Wexford speaking to the lack of drop boxes for mail-in ballots. Our County Executive Rich Fitzgerald addressed this topic some time ago: “Everybody in the County has a drop box. It is called your mail box.”

The US Postal Service in Wexford has a box located next to the road at their Perry highway location. You don’t even need to leave your vehicle. Many shopping centers have mail boxes to deposit outgoing mail.

All you need to do is to ensure that you apply for your mail-in ballot soon enough to allow time to receive and complete your ballot, place it in the mail box, and allow enough time for the postal service to deliver it to the elections division. I can assure you that I have several family members who use mail-in ballots, as it is a safe secure way of casting your vote.
