Highlights from major construction projects around Pittsburgh and surrounding areas this week
1. Greentree Road/Green Tree: Lane restrictions from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through late December for fiber optic cable boring and installation work. Restrictions are between Potomac Avenue and Mansfield Avenue.
2. Interstate 79/Sewickley Hills, Franklin Park boroughs: Single-lane restrictions in both directions between the Red Mud Hollow Road bridge and the Nicholson Road bridge from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Crews will conduct crossover paving operations. 3. Thornburg Bridge (Route 60)/ Robinson, Crafton, Pittsburgh: Restrictions between Woodmere Drive and Cornell Avenue for bridge preservation work through summer 2023. Detours posted.
4. Route 50/Bridgeville and South Fayette: Lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights between James Street in Bridgeville and Millers Run Road in South Fayette through late 2022. Crews are widening the bridge over Chartiers Creek.
5. Forbes Avenue/Pittsburgh: Closed indefinitely near Frick Park and South Braddock Avenue because of the collapse of the Fern Hollow Bridge.
6. Roberto Clemente (Sixth Street) Bridge/Pittsburgh: Closed for rehabilitation until December 2023.
7. Route 28/Pittsburgh, Aspinwall, Sharpsburg and north: Restrictions in several areas near the Highland Park Bridge as Route 28 is rebuilt. Detours posted.
8. Campbells Run Road/Robinson:
Closed between Keiners Lane and Brookside Drive through November for replacement of Campbells Run South Branch Bridges Nos. 5 and 6.
9. Second Avenue/Pittsburgh: Single-lane restrictions, shoulder closures and intermittent traffic stoppages through late December.
10. Camp Meeting Road/Bell Acres, Leetsdale: Periodic single-lane closures between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. between Camp Meeting Road Extension and Beaver Street. Work to continue through November for milling and paving, drainage improvements, shoulder work, and guide rail replacement.
11. East Willock Road/Baldwin Borough: Single-lane alternating traffic between Short and Bluff streets, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through late December, for water line installation.
12. Fort Duquesne Bridge/Pittsburgh: Single-lane restriction on the lower deck (southbound I-279) of the Fort Duquesne Bridge will occur weeknights from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through late November as crews conduct minor bridge repairs.
13. Boulevard of the Allies/Pittsburgh: Single-lane restrictions in both directions between Forbes Avenue and Jumonville Street, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through late December for electrical relocation and field measurement work.
Also, the boulevard is closed outbound (southbound) from the Birmingham Bridge to the ramp to Forbes Avenue weeknights from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. through late December. Detour posted.
14. Bates Street/Pittsburgh: Lane restrictions between Hodge Street and Second Avenue, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through the end of November, as work continues on the underisde of the I-376 bridge over Bates Street.
15. River Road/Harrison: Periodic single-lane closures between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. weekdays through November between Mile Lock Lane and Federal Street for rehabilitation.
16. Route 130 (Tri-Boro Expressway)/Turtle Creek, Wilmerding, Monroeville: Single-lane restrictions in each direction through November for resurfacing, bridge preservation, traffic signal upgrades and other work.
17. Connor Road/Bethel Park, Castle Shannon, Mt. Lebanon: Singlelane restrictions from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through December between Oregon 25. Smithfield Street Bridge/Pittsburgh: One lane of the bridge closed long-term for preservation work, but bidirectional traffic maintained. Motorists also will see lane
Trail and Franklin Drive for water restrictions on East Carson Street, Fort Pitt line installation.

18. Brodhead Road/several locations: 26. West Liberty Improvement Avenue/Pittsburgh: work Lane restrictions means in single-lane both directions between alternating Pioneer Avenue traffic and in Brookside the two-lane Avenue nightly sections from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through late November for of Brodhead between retaining wall work.

27. Katrina Snowden Road/South Drive in Center Park: Closed and between single-lane Sheplar Drive restrictions and Piney Fork in Road around-the-clock each direction through in late the December fourlane for slide cleanup. Traffic detoured via Riggs Road sections. Work will occur and Ridge Road. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily and from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through the duration of the project. Weekend work will occur as needed.
19. Lake Shore Drive/McCandless: Closed in North Park through December for slope stabilization work. Other than the J.C. Stone Field parking lot, park visitors will not be able to access any facilities, including playgrounds, adjacent to Lake Shore Drive. Shelters accessed from the road will not be available to rent during the closure.
20. Scotch Hill Road/North and South Fayette: Closed between Willow Street in North Fayette and Marshall Road in South Fayette. The closure, which is expected to end in December, is required for the replacement of Robinson Run South Branch Bridge.
21. Duncan Avenue/Hampton:
single‑lane Periodic closure near Bryant Road into December for rehabilitation of Stillhouse Run Bridge No. 1 as well as other work. Traffic maintained in both directions using flaggers.
22. Broughton Road/Bethel Park, South Park: Traffic restrictions between Library Road (Route 88) and Horning Road, from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights through mid-December for improvement work.
23. Route 30/Forest Hills: Traffic pattern has changed in work area between Lafayette and Fairfax roads. Work includes culvert reconstruction in two locations and relocating utility lines along the corridor; project ongoing until summer 2023.
24. McKees Rocks Bridge: Traffic reduced to a single lane in each direction around-theclock through early July for full preservation.
25. Smithfield Street Bridge/ Pittsburgh: One lane of the bridge closed long-term for preservation work, but bidirectional traffic maintained. Motorists also will see lane restrictions on East Carson Street, Fort Pitt Boulevard, and I-376 (Parkway East).
26. West Liberty Avenue/Pittsburgh: Lane restrictions in both directions between Pioneer Avenue and Brookside Avenue nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through late November for retaining wall work.
