Man fatally shot on a porch in Wilkinsburg

A man in Wilkinsburg is dead after a volley of bullets was fired at him as he was on the porch of a home.

Allegheny County Police said the shooting occurred at 4:46 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Holmes

Street.

Walter Sloan, 40, was shot multiple times and found on the porch.

Police said 18 shots were fired at the victim and the house, where a woman and children were inside.
