Giants losing rookie WR
New York Giants rookie receiver Wan’Dale Robinson tore his right ACL, and his season is over, head coach Brian Daboll said Monday. Top corner Adoree Jackson is out 4-6 weeks with a sprained MCL, sources confirmed to the NewYork Daily News.
Robinson set career highs with nine catches and 100 receiving yards but went down on a fourthquarter hit near the sideline. He left MetLife Stadium on crutches.
Falcons
Atlanta tight end Kyle Pitts will be out for at least this week after he suffered damage to his medial collateral ligament in his right knee of the Falcons win against the Bears on Sunday. Defensive end Ta’Quon Graham will also be out after he went down with a left knee medial collateral ligament injury in the second quarter. He was carted off.
Coach Arthur Smith said both injuries were shortterm.
Broncos
Melvin Gordon’s fifth fumble of the season was his final one for Denver. The team announced that it had waived the veteran running back amid continued ball security issues.
Jets
A day after quarterback Zach Wilson’s poor performance, New York coach Robert Saleh was noncommittal on Wilson’s status. “I’m going to get to the tape and just evaluate everything,” he said.
Bears
Chicago quarterback Justin Fields has an injury to his non-throwing shoulder and is considered “day to day” by coach Matt Eberflus for Sunday’s game against the Jets.
Commanders
Washington coach Ron Rivera expects to activate defensive end Chase Young this week.
