PRT: More trains for Steelers games

-

I ride the T on the PRT, née Port Authority Transit, to Steeler games. The trains are very crowded going to the games. There seems to be a wait for trains.

After the game, the escalators atthe Allegheny Station are shut off. One of the transit police told me that the escalators were shut off because there was a crowd. It seems that a crowd would benefit from working escalators. Riders must climb the escalators toget to the platform.

There are trains parked behind the platform, but they don’t run. Passengers must wait until a train comes into the station. Other cities have trains lined up to load passengers as they arrive. Trains should run more oftenat peak events and times.

The sign in the train reads, “New Name. New Direction.” The authority should be more user friendly.
