1. Allderdice (20-8) — Allderdice is heavy favorite to repeat as champions. Four starters return from a team that also made the PIAA second round. The Dragons are good enough to play with any WPIAL team. Sam Kelly, a 6-4 junior, made All-City last year, but junior guard Logan Golle, junior forward Major Rainey and senior guard Ethan Rainey also return.

2. Brashear (8-11) — The Bulls lost to Allderdice in the title game last year and return one of the City’s top guards in Titus Gillett.

3. Obama (12-9) — Leading scorer Dame Givner transferred to Imani Christian, but the Eagles always seem to be among the top City teams.
