Police probe fatal crash in Jefferson Hills

Jefferson Hills borough police are investigating a fatal crash Saturday involving a vehicle and a pedestrian outside a Sunoco gas station on state Route 51.

The police and SouthEast Regional EMS responded just after 6 p.m. to the 1300 block of the thoroughfare, where one person was transported from the scene, according to the Allegheny County emergency dispatch center.

In a statement on Facebook, Jefferson Hills police confirmed the investigation, indicating the department will release more information when that process is complete. Additional details were not immediately available Sunday morning.
