“Don’t Worry Darling”: A housewife in a utopian 1950s community starts to question her existence when strange things begin to happen in this film that generated plenty of off-camera headlines as well. Starring Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Chris Pine and Olivia Wilde, who also directed.

“Emily the Criminal”: Aubrey Plaza stars as a broke artist who finds herself dabbling in L.A.’s criminal underworld as a means to pay off her student loans.

“Ainbo: Spirit of the Amazon”: Animated family-friendly outing in which the heroine and her spirit animal guides must save their rainforest home.

“Detective Knight: Rogue”: Bruce Willis stars as an LAPD detective in the opening movie of this action trilogy, which finds him chasing the criminals who injured his partner in a Halloween shootout.

AT THE MOVIES

“Violent Night”: “Stranger Things” star David Harbour plays Santa Claus, who must kick a little Christmas butt to stop an attack on a wealthy family in this comedy-action romp. (We’re hoping for a nod to “Die Hard” — “Now I have a machine gun. Ho ho ho.”) In theaters Dec. 2

“The Inspection”: Filmmaker/photograph­er Elegance Bratton, a former Marine, makes his feature debut with this tale of a young Marine (Jeremy Pope) who faces homophobia both at boot camp and at home. Gabrielle Union and Bokeem Woodbine costar.

“Salvatore: Shoemaker Of Dreams”: The life of Italian shoemaker Salvatore Ferragamo, who created shoes for Hollywood stars during the silent film era and for iconic films of the period.

NEW MUSIC FRIDAY

NOFX, “Double Album”: The legendary pop-punk band’s follow-up to 2021’s “Single Album” is…the rest of the album. “I wanted to do a double album cuz there are no good ones out there,” frontman Fat Mike said in a statement. “Pink Floyd’s ‘The Wall’ is about it. ‘Quadrophen­ia’ is OK, I guess, if you’re a Who fan. Definitely not [The Beatles’] White Album.”

RM, “Indigo”: Solo debut from the BTS member “recounts the stories and experience­s RM has gone through, like a diary,” according to a press release.
