Garoppolo leaving San Fran, headed to Las Vegas for three years

Quarterbac­k Jimmy Garoppolo has agreed to a three-year, $67.5 million contract with the Las Vegas Raiders, according to The Associated Press.

Garoppolo’s contract reportedly includes $34 million in the guaranteed money, the person said.

Garoppolo played for the San Francisco 49ers the past six seasons.

He took the Niners to the Super Bowl in the 2019 season.

Before that, he played for the New England Patriots as the backup to Tom Brady for three years under then-offensive coordinato­r Josh McDaniels, now the Raiders’ head coach. Garoppolo has two rings as the backup.

Eagles

On the day Philadelph­ia learned that veteran center Jason Kelce would return for the 2023 season, defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, a former Steeler, agreed to terms on four-year, $84 million contract with the 49ers.

The Eagles also lost linebacker T.J. Edwards, who agreed to a three-year, $19.5 million deal with the Chicago Bears.

Dolphins

Miami agreed to terms with for New York Jets quarterbac­k Mike White, bringing in a backup for Tua Tagovailoa in the 2023 season.

White, whose deal reportedly is two years for $16 million, spent the past four seasons with the New York Jets, appearing in eight games with seven starts.

Chiefs

Left tackle Jawaan Taylor, a second-round draft choice with the Jacksonvil­le Jaguar in 2019, agreed to an $80 million, four-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs to replace Orlando Brown Jr. as the blindside protector for Patrick Mahomes.

Broncos

Denver strengthen­ed their offensive line, agreeing to deals with right tackle Mike McGlinchey and left guard Ben Powers, and also agreed on a deal with quarterbac­k Jarrett Stidham to be Russell Wilson’s backup.

Commanders

Washington added depth and versatilit­y to its offensive line, agreeing to terms with former Kansas City Chiefs tackle/guard Andrew Wylie and ex-New York Giants center/guard Nick Gates.
