GAME-DAY NOTES

SUNDAY WILL be the seventh Super Bowl that Jim Nantz has called for CBS.His first was in 2010, when the Saints defeated the Colts, 31-17. For the record, the late Pat Summerall worked 16 Super Bowls — most in history.

IF YOU THINK Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Andy Reid are in every other commercial on TV, you’re not far off. According to iSpot, an ad measurement company, companies feature Mahomes in 19 spots, Kelce in 10 and Reid in four. Combined etimated outlay to air their spots: $367 million. THERE will be a broadcasting first on the radio side. Veteran Kevin Harlan will call the game for Westwood One. Daughter Olivia Harlan Dekker, who previously covered the NFL and NBA for ESPN, CBS and Fox Sports, will be a sideline reporter. They are the first father-daughter to do a Super Bowl.

A CHIEFS WIN will make them the sixth team since 2000 to win the Super Bowl while being underdogs in each of their final three games. Patrick Mahomes does not mind. He is 9-3 as an underdog, giving him the best winning percentage of any QB with a minimum of 10 starts — in the past 15 seasons.

IF THE 49ERS

win, RB Christian McCaffrey will join his father Ed McCaffrey in becoming only the second father-son combination to win a Super Bowl for the same team. Ed McCaffrey, a WR, won a Super Bowl with the 49ers in 1994. FYI: The first combo: Giants LB Steve DeOssie (1990) and long-snapper Zak DeOssie (2008, 2011).

USHER will not be compensated for his halftime performance. That said, he is releasing an album Sunday. Considering that advertising during the game costs $14 million per minute, his 13-minute show equates to $182 million in advertising.
