AT THE MOVIES

“Imaginary”: A young girl’s behavior begins to change in alarming ways after she develops an attachment to a stuffed bear named Chauncey. Directed by Jeff Wadlow and starring DeWanda Wise, Pyper Braun, Tom Payne and Betty Buckley.

“Kung Fu Panda 4”: Po is tasked with both finding his dragon warrior successor and stopping a sorceress with a particular­ly diabolical master plan. Its all-star voice cast is led by Jack Black as Po and includes Angelina Jolie, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, Jackie Chan, Viola Davis, James Hong and Awkwafina.

“Lord of Misrule”: From the director of “Orphan: First Kill,” this tale of folklore-inspired fright centers on a woman who has recently taken over as the priest of a small town. When her daughter goes missing during the local harvest festival, a desperate search ensues, but the closer they come to finding her, the more secrets emerge from the town’s sinister past.

“The Swearing Jar”: A woman juggles pregnancy and love with her husband as well as a growing spark with an aspiring musician in this Canadian musical romance film. Starring Adelaide Clemens, Kathleen Turner and Patrick J. Adams.

“Who Are You People”: Drama in which a teen girl runs away in search of her birth father after finding an old letter from him at her adoptive home. With Ema Horvath, Alyssa Milano, Devon Sawa and John Ales.

Ariana Grande, “Eternal Sunshine”: The seventh album from the pop star features the chart-topping single “Yes, And?” The Jesus and Mary Chain, “Glasgow Eyes”:

Eighth album and first in seven years from the Scottish noise-pop band that blew everyone away with its 1985 debut “Psychocand­y.”

Bleachers, “Bleachers”: The fourth album from the New Jersey indie-pop band featuring Taylor Swift collaborat­or Jack Antonoff.

Judas Priest, “Invincible Shield”: The 19th album from the British metal band was produced by touring guitarist Andy Sneap, who also produced 2018’s “Firepower.”

Kim Gordon, “The Collective”: The second solo album from the former Sonic Youth singer-bassist continues her collaborat­ion with producer Justin Raisen (John Cale, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Charli XCX).

“Ricky Stanicky” (Thursday, Prime Video): When three childhood best friends pull a prank that goes wrong, they invent the imaginary Ricky Stanicky to get them out of trouble. Stars Zac Efron and John Cena

“The Gentlemen: Season 1” (Thursday, Netflix): A British man unexpected­ly inherits his father’s sizeable country estate only to discover it’s part of a cannabis empire.

“Capitals vs. Penguins” (ESPN+, 7 p.m. Thursday): Two living legends of the game collide, Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin.

“Law & Order” (NBC, 8 p.m. Thursday): Hugh Dancy, Odelya Halevi, Camryn Manheim, Mehcad Brooks and Reid Scott star in this long-running procedural. Each new episode follows the stories of the police who investigat­e crime and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders.

“Ghosts” (CBS, 8:30 p.m. Thursday): The ghosts inhabiting Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay Arondekar’s (Utkarsh Ambudkar) bed and breakfast get extra rowdy when it comes to Halloween. This time around, their rowdiness somehow attracts a spectral houseguest that refuses to leave.

“Damsel” (Friday, Netflix): Elodie’s fairytale marriage to a handsome prince turns sinister when the royals’ true reason for welcoming her into their family is revealed. Directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadill­o and starring Millie Bobby Brown, Nick Robinson, Robin Wright, Angela Bassett and Ray Winstone.

“Napoleon” (Friday, Apple TV+): Ridley Scott and Joaquin Phoenix come together to create this film about the French despot.

“Morbius” (Friday, Disney+): The latest Spider-Man universe spinoff comes to streaming.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” (MTV, 8 p.m. Friday): Shake your groove thang for all the world to see. When RuPaul asks the contestant­s to create inspiratio­nal political anthems that inspire and improve drag race relations, all things are possible. Choreograp­her Jamal Sims judges.

“Hightown” (Starz, 9 p.m. Friday): This is no time to be sober as life in Cape Cod gets harder by the minute. Ray (James Badge Dale) and Renee (Riley Voelkel) decide to do whatever it takes to wrap up the case. Then, Jackie (Monica Raymund) finds herself picking sides as things get ugly.

“Blue Bloods” (CBS, 10 p.m. Friday): In its final season, the Reagan clan hopes keep its sense of family firmly rooted both at work and at home. New York Police Commission­er Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) leads this family of cops through difficult cases, relationsh­ips and community needs.

“N.C. State vs. Pitt” (ACC, 7:45 p.m. Saturday): The teams of the ACC come down the home stretch of the men’s college basketball season. This match-up features the Wolfpack and the Panthers.

“Penguins vs. Bruins” (ABC, 9 p.m. Saturday): The Penguins ship up to Boston to do battle with the Bruins in prime time.

The Academy Awards (ABC, 7 p.m. Sunday): Jimmy Kimmel hosts the 96th Oscars show, where “Oppenheime­r” has a leading 13 nomination­s and “Barbie,” “Killers of the Flower Moon” and “Poor Things” are among the other films up for awards.
