Cooper brings his mother to the Oscars — AGAIN
Bradley Cooper knows the best date for an awards show: his mother, Gloria Campano.
They could be seen last Sunday at the Academy Awards, walking the red carpet, posing for photos and sitting beside each other during the awards ceremony, where Cooper was nominated for BestActor for his portrayal of Leonard Bernstein in “Maestro” (He didn’t win).
Host Jimmy Kimmel even teased the blue-eyed actor during the broadcast, accordingto the New York Post.
“Hi, Mrs. Cooper. How are you?” Kimmel said directly to Campano during his opening monologue.
“Bradley brings his mother to every award show,” he said. “Last year at the Oscars, and the Tonys, and the Soul Train Awards.
“It’s very sweet but I guess the question is: How many times can one bring his mom as his date before he is actually dating his mom?”
Cooper also brought his mother to the 2024 Golden
Globe awards, and joined him and Gigi Hadid at a private after party held at the Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Los Angeles, according to People.
Campano also accompanied her son to the 2022 Academy Awards, where “Nightmare Alley” was nominated for Best Picture (It didn’t win).
Mother and son were seen together again at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards, according to the Los Angeles Times. They celebrated afterward at Trader Vic’s with Leonardo DiCaprio and his mom, Irmelin Inden birken, and a father and daughter acting duo, Bruce and Laura Dern.
Cooper and his older sister, Holly Cooper, grew up in an Irish-Italian family just north of Philadelphia, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
His father, Charlie Cooper, was a Merrill Lynch stock broker who passed away in 2011.
“Dad was a film buff who showed me movies like ‘Deer Hunter’ and ‘Apocalypse Now,’ ” he said.
Cooper arranged a cameo for his father in the “The ATeam” and is grateful that his da dlived to see his success.
Shortly after his father’s death, his mother moved in with Cooper and continues to live with him in Los Angeles, according to People.
