Sabonis crushes Raptors

Kings all-star has 24th triple-double

Domantas Sabonis had his 24th triple-double of the season to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 123-89 blowout win against the short-handed Raptors on Wednesday at Toronto for their second in a row and fourth in their past five games.

Sabonis finished with 13 points, 10 assists and 17 rebounds for the Kings, who took the led midway through the first quarter and pulled away from there, leading by 23 points at halftime and stretching the lead to 34 points at the end of the third quarter.

Sabonis has recorded at least a double-double in 51 consecutiv­e games.

Gary Trent Jr. scored 18 points to lead the Raptors, who lost their eighth in a row. Toronto fell to 13-21 at home, guaranteei­ng the team will finish with a losing record on its home court this season.

De’Aaron Fox led the Kings with 20 points.

Toronto guard Immanuel Quickley missed the game for personal reasons, joining a list of absentees that includes All-Star forward Scottie Barnes (hand), center Jakob Poeltl (finger), forward RJ Barrett (personal), forward Chris Boucher (knee) and guard DJ Carton (ankle).

Milwaukee’s rally from an 18point deficit in the fourth quarter fell short as Jayson Tatum sank two clutch free throws with 6.1 seconds left to give host Boston its seventh consecutiv­e win in a matchup of the Central and Atlanta division leaders. Tatum finished with 31 points to lead the Celtics and Damian Lillard had 32 for the Bucks.

Thunder 119, Jazz 107: Chet Holmgren scored 35 points and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 31 for Oklahoma City, which moved percentage points ahead of Denver for the Northwest Division lead. Collin Sexton scored 25 to lead visiting Utah. Pacers 122, Pistons 103:

Pascal Siakam had 25 points to lead visiting Indiana and Tyrese Haliburton added 20 as Indiana sent short-handed Detroit to its fourth consecutiv­e loss. Cade Cunningham scored 23 for the Pistons, who were without starting forwards Ausur Thompson (blood clots) and Isaiah Stewart (hamstring), both of whom were ruled out for the season.

Heat 107, Cavaliers 104: Jimmy Butler scored 30 points for Miami and Darius Garland missed a 34-foot try for the tie at the buzzer for Cleveland. Jarrett Allen led the Cavaliers with 25 points and 20 rebounds.
