LOOKING FOR A PET?
Find Nemo, Roxy and Smudge at area animal shelters
Nemo
Nemo is a 5-month-old pit bull terrier mix who came to the Washington Area Humane Society with an injured back leg. After medical care and cage rest, he is healing nicely and is ready for his new home.
He is shy at first and takes a moment to warm up, but can you blame him? He had a rough start in life. Then his real personality comes out and he is a playful adolescent wholoves giving puppy kisses.
As with any new pet, Nemo would need to meet any other dogs in the family before being adopted. If you’re interested in learning more about Nemo, check him out at www.washingtonpashelter.org, or visit the shelter during walkthrough hours from 1-7 p.m. Tuesdays and 1-4 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays.
Roxy
Roxy is a 9-year-old female mastiff mix waiting for her forever home at the Butler County Humane Society. This 67-pound dog loves people and is quite the snuggle bug who loves to give kisses.
Don’t be fooled by her age; Roxy still has a lot of spunk left in her!
She is looking for a place to rest her arthritic limbs and watch the world go by with her new family. Roxy enjoys slow walks and sniffing the world around her. She would love a home with people of all ages.
If you are interested in adopting or learning more about Roxy, go to www.butlercountyhs.org.
Smudge
Smudge is a 7-year-old calico cat at the Washington Area Humane Society. She loves snuggles and chin rubs and like many calicos, she can bea bit sassy and a bit sweet.
She may enjoy the company of another calm cat, but she also wouldn’t mind being the only cat in the home. Smudge also is working on getting her girlish figure back, so her adopter would have to be carefulnot to give her too many treats.
If you would like to schedule a meet and greet with Smudge, view her profile and fill out an online adoption application at www.washingtonpashelter.org.
