Jackson Chourio singled in a run in his first appearance at home for Milwaukee and Christian Yelich homered to help the Brewers beat the Minnesota Twins, 3- 2, on Tuesday for Milwaukee’s fourth consecutive win to start the season.

Chourio came to bat with the bases loaded in the third inning after consecutive oneout singles by Rhys Hoskins, Oliver Dunn and Brice Turang. He followed with an RBI single to shallow right field.

“I was just looking to make good contact there and bring in the first run,” Chourio said through an interpreter. He signed an $82 million, eightyear contract with the Brewers before making his majorleague debut, and is hitting .400 to start his rookie season.

The sellout crowd of 41,659 saved its biggest ovation at the home opener for Bob Uecker, who began his 54th season of broadcasting Brewers games.
