BEST BET KANSAS CITY over LA Chargers by 11
Not only are the ‘crazy little women’ meeting in Kansas City on Saturday night but so are the AFC West leaders. And with the division title likely on the line as both the Chiefs and Chargers finish with favorable schedules: KC at home versus Miami and at Denver; Los Angeles at the Jets and home against Oakland. The visitors have our machine in a bit of a tizzy as the Chargers are 6-1-1 ATS away in this series when entering with a win percentage of less than .600 and the Chiefs arriving off a SU win, but only 1-8 ATS as road favorites off a win of more than 10 points. In addition, our NFL Quarterback Club reminds us that Chargers QB Philip Rivers is a moneymaking 13-3-2 ATS as a division road dog, but a pedestrian 10-8 ATS as a division road favorite. Lucky for us the Chiefs are 7-0 SU and 5-2 ATS in this series (dogs only once) since 2014 and that HC Andy Reid is the answer to this week’s TRIVIA TEASER on page 2. Yes, these two were headed in opposite directions before KC’s win against Oakland on Sunday but the bottom line is the price is right. And if our ‘Reid’ is correct, we don’t even need THE CLINCHER: Kansas City is 18-5 ATS as a home dog following a win, including 13-2 SUATS from Game 6 out and 9-0 ATS against foes coming off a win.
