BUFFALO over Miami by 3
After a week of watching Jon Gruden proclaim Tom Brady the ‘G.O.A.T.’ in MNF promos, the Dolphins’ D made Brady look more like a billygoat. It’s one thing to shut down Trevor Simien (Broncos were 1-for-13 on third down) but the Fins did it again to Brady, who failed to convert a third down in 11 tries. If you read our prediction for the Monday Nighter in last week’s PLAYBOOK, you’ll know that we were not surprised, and Brady probably wasn’t either, as #12 is now 7-9 SU in Miami against the Dolphins as a starter. However, don’t get too carried away as Miami is 0-5 SUATS away when coming off a game against the Patriots and 2-9 ATS when coming off a Monday night game. On the flip side, the Bills will be rested after spending hours making snow angels on the home turf following the win over Indy, and will try to extend a 4-1 ATS record as a host in this series. However, the Bills are 1-7 ATS at home in division games when coming off consecutive home games and a win. We really can’t make a call here until we know the status of the muddled Buffalo QB situation.
