Philadelphia over NY GIANTS by 3
How good is Carson Wentz? Apparently good enough to throw a touchdown pass with a torn ACL! Unfortunately for Philly fanatics, that will be the last pass that Wentz throws this season as he hands the keys off to Nick Foles. The 6-year veteran is a respectable 20-16 SU (17-19 ATS) as a starter in the NFL but a winless 0-5 SUATS in his last five away games as a favorite when his team is off a win. That and the fact that NFL teams in division games following consecutive away games are 16-35 SUATS when coming off a win puts us on the home dogs despite Philly’s 3-1 SUATS mark on this field since 2013 and 5-1 ATS log as road favorites against division foes with revenge. Sure, we are well aware of the G-Men’s struggles at home (1-7 ATS) after dabbling with Dallas but our database points out that New York is 4-1 ATS in division duels when coming off a division game while our NFL Quarterback Club reminds us that Eli is 13-3-1 ATS in December when his Giants are coming off consecutive losses. Yes, we’ll probably ‘Wentz’ on more than few occasions, but it’s take it or leave it today in East Rutherford.
