Baltimore over CLEVELAND by 4
The Ravens are 8-0 SU and 6-2 ATS as road favorites versus sub .333 division opponents but John Harbaugh is just 2-5 as a division favorite during December. On the positive side, the Baltimore coach is 25-3-4 ATS in SU wins as division road chalk. The Blackbirds are coming off that heartbreaking loss at Pittsburgh on Sunday night, but Joe Flacco actually was impressive and the Ravens can still make the playoffs by winning out the rest of the way. Still, we can’t lay a TD here, not when they are 0-4 ITS (leaking oil) in their last four games. On the other side, Cleveland QB DeShone Kizer is now widely recognized as the ‘Human Turnover Machine’ (though one of the best nicknames we’ve heard is “Kizer So-So”). The rookie was at his best last week, allowing Green Bay back in the game after taking a 14-point lead into the 4th quarter. As a result, Cleveland is now 4-46 SU in its last 50 games and becomes the first team in NFL history to start a season 0-13 in consecutive years. The current net tally for the Browns’ turnover ratio is at -17, and if Kizer shows up as the ‘usual suspect’ this week, there’s a good chance he will keep the bummed-out Ravens alive in the AFC playoff chase.
