WISCONSIN over Byu by 17
The Badgers led Group of 5 lightweight New Mexico just 10-7 at the half in last week’s 31-point win, but frustrated Wisconsin backers can take solace in noting that favorites of 17 or more points in Game Three of the season, off a pair of SU wins and ATS losses, are 11-4-1 ATS. Workhorse RB Jonathan Taylor has rolled up nearly 400 yards on the ground with 5 TDs in the first two games and could be the best RB in the nation. But until the Badgers cash a ticket or play a complete game, we can’t go to the window with them. Especially since the Cougars bring a lofty
record as road dogs with revenge into this affair (lost 40-6 at home to Wisky last year, BYU’s worst home defeat since 2011). The Mormons also hold a 7-1 ATS mark as dogs of 7 or more points versus undefeated foes. The inconsistent Cougs have been physical on defense (Arizona’s Khalil Tate was held to just 14 rushing yards in the opener), but sputtered at times on offense in the loss to Cal. We’ll look for the good Brigham Youngsters to show up in Madison.
