NY JETS over Miami by 1
Yes, it was impressive. Jets rookie QB Sam Darnold tossed a Pick-6 on his first NFL pass 20 seconds into the game and then proceeded to pick apart the Lions on Monday night when he outplayed Matthew Stafford, completing 16 of 21 passes for 198 yards and two TDs in a shocking 48-17 win over Detroit. He helped the Jets set a franchise record for points on the road, surpassing the 47 points they scored in 1967 against the Boston Patriots. With that we were all set to pounce against the Flyboys off a record-setting performance until our research department laid perhaps the ugliest stat of the week on us: Miami brings a road mark into the contest in between home games. Talk about letting the air out of the balloon. In addition, the Dolphins are 1-6-2 ATS the last eight games in this series. Meanwhile, it took 7 hours and 10 minutes to play the Titans, but the wait was worth it for the victory-starved Fish. Having QB Ryan Tanneyhill back is a blessing as he is 8-1 SU in his last nine starts. With a handful of games being over-reacted to by the oddsmakers based on opening week results, this is one were forced to let go. And we don’t like it one damn bit.
