Donald Morrill of Tampa won the 2017 Lee Smith Novel Prize for Beaut. He received $1,000, and his novel will be published by Red Hen Press in 2018. The biennial award is given to a fiction writer “living in, writing about, or originally from the U.S. South.” The next deadline is November 30, 2018.
