Catamaran Writing Conference
The 2017 Catamaran Writing Conference will be held from August 6 to August 10 at the Robert Louis Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, California. The conference features workshops, craft talks, and daily excursions for poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers. The faculty includes poets Dorianne Laux and Clarence Major, fiction writers Elizabeth McKenzie and Josip Novakovich, and creative nonfiction writer Pam Houston. The cost of the conference, which includes tuition, most meals, and shared lodging on campus, is $1,250; commuter tuition, which includes most meals, is $850. Submit five poems totaling no more than 10 pages, or up to 10 pages of prose by July 15. There is no application fee. Workshops are limited to twelve participants each.
