The 2019 Bread Loaf Writ­ers’ Con­fer­ence will be held from Au­gust 14 to Au­gust 24 in the Green Moun­tains of Rip­ton, Ver­mont. The con­fer­ence fea­tures work­shops in po­etry, fic­tion, and cre­ative non­fic­tion, as well as lec­tures, craft classes, meet­ings with ed­i­tors and agents, and read­ings by fac­ulty and guests. The fac­ulty in­cludes po­ets Rick Barot, Jeri­cho Brown, Vievee Fran­cis, Sally Keith, Matthew Olz­mann, A. E. Stallings, and Mary Szy­bist; fic­tion writ­ers Liam Callanan, Maud Casey, Christo­pher Castel­lani, Alexan­der Chee, Stacey D’Erasmo, Cristina Gar­cía, Ravi Howard, Don Lee, Ana Menén­dez, and Michael Parker; and cre­ative non­fic­tion writ­ers Jen­nifer Fin­ney Boy­lan, Ami­natta Forna, and Reyna Grande. Tu­ition is $3,525, which in­cludes lodg­ing and meals. The fee for au­di­tors who do not have a man­u­script is $3,380. Fi­nan­cial aid is avail­able. The con­fer­ence, de­signed for po­ets and prose writ­ers whose work deals with the en­vi­ron­ment and the nat­u­ral world, fea­tures work­shops in po­etry, fic­tion, and cre­ative non­fic­tion, as well as lec­tures, craft classes, meet­ings with ed­i­tors and agents, and read­ings by fac­ulty and guests. The fac­ulty in­cludes po­ets Jen­nifer Chang and Sean Hill, fic­tion writer Claire Vaye Watkins, and non­fic­tion writ­ers Daniel Duane, John El­der, J. Drew Lan­ham, and He­len Macdonald.
