The 2019 Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference will be held from August 14 to August 24 in the Green Mountains of Ripton, Vermont. The conference features workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as lectures, craft classes, meetings with editors and agents, and readings by faculty and guests. The faculty includes poets Rick Barot, Jericho Brown, Vievee Francis, Sally Keith, Matthew Olzmann, A. E. Stallings, and Mary Szybist; fiction writers Liam Callanan, Maud Casey, Christophe­r Castellani, Alexander Chee, Stacey D’Erasmo, Cristina García, Ravi Howard, Don Lee, Ana Menéndez, and Michael Parker; and creative nonfiction writers Jennifer Finney Boylan, Aminatta Forna, and Reyna Grande. Tuition is $3,525, which includes lodging and meals. The fee for auditors who do not have a manuscript is $3,380. Financial aid is available. The 2019 Bread Loaf Environmen­tal Writers’ Conference will be held from May 31 to June 6 in the Green Mountains of Ripton, Vermont. The conference, designed for poets and prose writers whose work deals with the environmen­t and the natural world, features workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as lectures, craft classes, meetings with editors and agents, and readings by faculty and guests. The faculty includes poets Jennifer Chang and Sean Hill, fiction writer Claire Vaye Watkins, and nonfiction writers Daniel Duane, John Elder, J. Drew Lanham, and Helen Macdonald.
