The Jen­tel Foun­da­tion of­fers four-week res­i­den­cies from mid-Jan­uary to mid­De­cem­ber to po­ets, fic­tion writ­ers, and cre­ative non­fic­tion writ­ers on a cat­tle ranch in the Lower Piney Creek Val­ley, 20 miles east of Sheri­dan, Wy­oming. Each res­i­dency in­cludes a pri­vate room, a sep­a­rate work space, ac­cess to a com­mon liv­ing area, and a $400 stipend. Writ­ers who are U.S. ci­ti­zens liv­ing any­where in the world or non-U.S. ci­ti­zens liv­ing in the United States, at least 25 years old, and not ma­tric­u­lated stu­dents are el­i­gi­ble. For res­i­den­cies from May 15 to De­cem­ber 13, us­ing the on­line ap­pli­ca­tion sys­tem sub­mit 10 pages of po­etry or up to 20 pages of prose and three let­ters of rec­om­men­da­tion with a $23 ap­pli­ca­tion fee by Jan­uary 15.
