Southampton Writers Conference

The 44th annual Southampton Writers Conference will be held from July 10 to July 21 at the Stony Brook Southampton campus in Southampton, located on the Atlantic coast 90 miles east of New York City. The conference features workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as readings, lectures, and consultations with agents. The faculty includes poets Jericho Brown, Billy Collins, and Dawn Lundy Martin; fiction writers Karen E. Bender, Ursula Hegi, and Matthew Klam; and creative nonfiction writers Melissa Bank, Alexander Chee, Roger Rosenblatt, and Frederic Tuten. Other participating writers include fiction writers Katherine Faw, Julie Langsdorf, Tony Tulathimutte, and Meg Wolitzer; and nonfiction writers Garnette Cadogan, Tom Dyja, Daniel Menaker, and Richard Panek.
