Vermont College of Fine Arts Postgraduate Writers’ Conference
The 24th annual Postgraduate Writers’ Conference will be held from August 12 to August 18 on the Vermont College of Fine Arts campus in Montpelier. Designed for writers with graduate degrees or equivalent experience, the conference features workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as readings, craft classes, and individual consultations with faculty members. Each workshop is limited to five or six participants.
The faculty includes poets Eduardo C. Corral, Matthew Dickman, Kathleen Graber, A. Van Jordan, and Patricia Smith; fiction writers William Giraldi, David Jauss, Ellen Lesser, Lee Martin, and Tiphanie Yanique; and creative nonfiction writers Sonja Livingston, Dinty W. Moore, Sue William Silverman, and Clifford Thompson. Tuition is $995 for all workshops except for the poetry manuscript workshop, which is $1,175. The cost for on-campus housing is $370 for a single room or $200 for a shared room. The full conference meal plan is $230.
